If you are medically certified by a doctor as unfit to work due to illness for more than 7 days, you may be able to claim earnings support.

The payment is calculated as 75% of your average daily earnings with Deliveroo, up to a maximum of €50 per day. Your average daily earnings are calculated based on your earnings with Deliveroo in the 60 days before your illness started.

You can claim payments from day 8 of your illness, but if your claim is accepted, your payment will be backdated to the first day of your illness. No payment will be made if you are unfit to work for 7 days or less.

To be eligible for illness earnings support, you must have completed at least 30 deliveries in the 8 weeks before your illness started.

You can claim illness earnings support for up to 30 days. Claims for illness are limited to a maximum of two claims in any 12-month period.

To receive earnings support, you will need to submit proof that you have been medically certified by a doctor as unfit to work. The medical certificate or fit note from your doctor will need to specify the start and end date of your illness, so it is important to check this is correct.
