The one-off new parent payment helps with loss of earnings and additional expenses when you become a new parent through the birth or adoption of a child.

To be eligible, you must have entered into an agreement with Deliveroo to provide delivery services and completed your first delivery at least 41 weeks before the expected date of childbirth, or at least 41 weeks before the adoption date.

The amount you may receive depends on how many deliveries you completed in the 6 months before the birth, stillbirth or adoption of your child.

If you are the birthing parent, you may be eligible for:

• €250 if you completed more than 175 deliveries;
• €500 if you completed more than 350 deliveries; or
• €1,000 if you completed more than 700 deliveries.

If you are a non-birthing parent or adoptive parent, you may be eligible for:

• €250 if you completed more than 250 deliveries;
• €500 if you completed more than 500 deliveries; or
• €1,000 if you completed more than 1,000 deliveries.

You can only claim one new parent payment in any 12-month period.

If two riders are eligible for the same birth or adoption, the benefit may be payable to each eligible rider, subject to the policy limits.
