Who is eligible for earnings support for illness?
Riders who have completed at least 30 deliveries in the 8 weeks before their illness started may be eligible for earnings support while they are unwell. There is no need to sign up separately.
You must be medically certified by a doctor as unfit to work due to illness for more than 7 days in order to make a claim. No payment will be made if you are unfit to work for 7 days or less.
If your claim is accepted, you may receive 75% of your average daily earnings with Deliveroo, up to a maximum of €50 per day. Your average daily earnings are calculated based on your earnings with Deliveroo in the 60 days before your illness started.
- You can claim illness earnings support for up to 30 days.
- You can claim earnings support for illness up to a maximum of 2 times in any 12-month period.
To receive earnings support, you will need to provide a medical certificate or fit note from your doctor confirming that you are unfit to work and showing the start and end date of your illness.
